Launched in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the brand takes its name from the traditional 21-gun salute fired at the Tower of London to honor royalty. This specific burgundy-colored decanter is one of three iconic porcelain colors—including sapphire (blue) and emerald (green)—designed to mirror the precious stones in the Crown Jewels. Traditionally produced by Wade Ceramics using Cornish clay, these flagons are renowned for their intricate embossed detailing and the image of Robert the Bruce, making them popular for display or upcycling into unique home decor.
