RUBY FLAGON LIQUOR BOTTLE
Details
This empty Royal Salute 21 Year Old "Ruby Flagon" is a highly collectible piece of spirits history, originally crafted by Chivas Brothers. Launched in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the brand takes its name from the traditional 21-gun salute fired at the Tower of London to honor royalty. This specific burgundy-colored decanter is one of three iconic porcelain colors—including sapphire (blue) and emerald (green)—designed to mirror the precious stones in the Crown Jewels. Traditionally produced by Wade Ceramics using Cornish clay, these flagons are renowned for their intricate embossed detailing and the image of Robert the Bruce, making them popular for display or upcycling into unique home decor. While the brand transitioned to more sustainable coated glass flagons in 2022, these original porcelain versions remain prized by enthusiasts for their regal heritage and artisanal craftsmanship. It's size is 9 inches in height and 4.5 inches in diameter.
